Brittany, with its 1400 kilometres of coastline is a paradise for fishing on foot, but not all fishermen know the regulations concerning this activity.
Fishing on foot can be practiced by anyone, preferably at low tide, but there are a few simple rules to follow :
- There are minimal sizes under which it is forbidden to fish or pick crabs, fish and shells.
- Picking oysters is only allowed during the summer. Picking sea plants is forbidden.
- Some species and some areas may be subject to restriction or prohibition.
A small guide exists that will tell you more about the thousand ways to indulge in this hobby and more important to enjoy cooking what you fished.
On the Kervilen beach, next to Camping de la Plage, you can fish, depending on the period, oysters, cockle shells and clams.
